Privacy Policy

Competitor Intelligence Monitor ("CIM," "Service," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by AideaMaker LLC, a Texas limited liability company. CIM is a self-serve SaaS for business users that monitors publicly accessible information about the competitors its customers name, measures how AI assistants and search describe brands, and delivers digests, alerts and reports by email, in the app and through team messaging. The data described in this policy is stored on infrastructure operated by or for AideaMaker LLC.

We collect the following categories of information:

a. Account and Identity

• Name and email address provided at signup or when you accept an invitation
• Password (stored in protected form — we never store your plaintext password)
• Organization name, and profile details you choose to add, such as your company and job title
• Your role in each workspace you belong to
• Billing contact information (name, email, billing address as required by our payment processor)

b. Competitor Configuration

• The competitor domains, source URLs, and monitoring preferences you configure in the Service — this is the core operational data that tells CIM what to watch
• Labels, notes, and tags you assign to tracked competitors
• Your company details, brand names, tracked prompts, facts, and digest and notice settings

c. Intelligence Data Collected on Your Behalf

• Snapshots and change records of publicly accessible competitor pages (pricing, changelogs, job posts, review aggregates, news articles, the public technical tags of pages, and AI assistant answers about brands you track) — collected by our crawlers on your behalf and stored in your account
• AI-generated digests, significance ratings, and narratives produced from that data
• Measurements of your own website and of the competitors you track, such as audit results, scores and ranks

d. Usage and Technical Data

• Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited within the Service, timestamps
• Device and session metadata used to operate and secure the Service
• Feature usage patterns (which dashboard views you access) used in aggregate to improve the Service
• Visit statistics: the page, the referring page, screen size, language, load time, how far a page was scrolled and how long it was open. Our own visit counting does not use cookies and does not store visitors' network addresses; it groups visits with a random identifier kept in your browser, and a country is shown only from a location hint that comes with the request.
• Records of errors, and of failed, denied or abusive requests, with the network address, the page requested and the browser details

e. Communications

• Messages you send us through the contact and beta request form, with the name, email address and company you give
• Support-related correspondence
• Problem reports you send from the Service, with the page you were on, your browser details and any screenshot you attach

f. Payment Data

Payment card and billing details are handled directly by our payment processor. We receive only a payment reference, limited card details, and billing status — never your full card number, CVC, or raw payment credentials.

g. Data You Choose to Connect or Send

• Authorization to read search accounts for your own properties, read-only, until you disconnect
• Analytics data and server logs you upload or send, which may include information about visitors to your own website
• The team messaging workspace and channels you connect for delivery
• Questions you ask the Service's AI features and their answers, and answers you import

To show what a monitored company is doing, the Service may store limited business information that the company itself made public, such as the name and job title of a person in a leadership role, with the address where it was found and the date. We do not collect contact details, private profiles, or anything behind a login about these people, and this information is deleted with the workspace that holds it. If you are such a person and want us to review information about you, contact us through the contact form.

We use the data we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and subscription
• Run crawlers against the competitor sources you configure and deliver intelligence results to you
• Generate and deliver your AI digest via email and/or team messaging
• Measure your website and how AI assistants and search describe the brands you track
• Send transactional messages — billing receipts, trial and renewal notices, failed-payment notices, security alerts
• Respond to support, contact form and beta requests, and to problem reports
• Detect abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the security of the Service
• Analyze aggregate, anonymized usage patterns to improve the Service
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your competitor configuration data or intelligence results to train AI models or for any purpose outside of providing and improving the Service to you. We do not pool or resell your content.

Where the law of your country requires a legal basis for using personal information, we rely on the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the Service, your consent where we ask for it, and our legal obligations.

AideaMaker LLC does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or your account's competitive intelligence data to any third party. We do not share it for third-party advertising or marketing purposes. If a site administrator turns on third-party advertising measurement on the public pages (section 8), the laws of some places may treat that as sharing; you can opt out as section 8 describes.

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers. We use third-party providers to operate the Service: hosting, payment processing, email delivery, AI processing (to write digests and measure AI answers), and team messaging (for digest delivery if you connect a workspace). Each provider receives only the data necessary for their function and is bound by their own privacy terms.
• Security providers. The network address and request details of abusive or failed requests may be shared with an abuse-prevention service that protects our servers. When it is turned on, a third-party check on sign-in and on our forms receives your network address and browser information to tell people from automated programs.
• People and services you choose. Members of your workspace, the people you send share links, reports or exports to, the team messaging channels you connect, and any outside AI assistant you connect to the assistant server see the information you make available to them.
• Our authorized staff. Our staff may open a workspace to provide support, investigate a problem or a complaint, secure the Service, or comply with the law; that access is recorded.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AideaMaker LLC, its users, or the public.
• Business transfers. If AideaMaker LLC is acquired or merges with another entity, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and any material change to this Privacy Policy.
• With your consent, or in aggregated or de-identified form that does not identify you.

All account and intelligence data is stored on infrastructure operated by or for AideaMaker LLC.

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including protection of data in transit, protected password storage, and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and keys. If the law requires us to tell you about a security incident that affects your personal information, we will.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

• Intelligence snapshots and change records. Retention varies by subscription plan. Older history is removed automatically, including the stored text of AI answers; the figures built from those answers are kept.
• Account data. Retained for the life of your account and for a reasonable period after closure for legal and business continuity purposes.
• Payment records. Retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulation.
• Contact requests, problem reports, and security and activity records. Kept only as long as they are needed for the purpose they were collected for. Network addresses kept for security and abuse prevention are kept for a limited time, and may be kept longer only in a form that cannot be turned back into the address.
• Deleted workspaces. When a workspace is deleted, its data is deleted with it. Copies may remain for a limited time in backups and logs until they are overwritten.

The Service uses the following:

• Session cookies. Required to maintain your authenticated session within the dashboard. These are deleted when you sign out or when the session expires.
• Security cookies. Cookies that protect your session and the forms you submit from misuse.
• Preference storage. Your browser may store non-sensitive display preferences on your device, and the random identifier our own visit counting uses.

Unless a site administrator turns them on, we do not use third-party analytics or advertising tags or cross-site tracking cookies. When they are turned on, they load only on the public pages, never inside the signed-in dashboard, and may set cookies or similar identifiers and receive page and device information. You can block or delete them in your browser settings; the Service works without them. Our own visit counting does not follow you across other websites.

Google services. The tags a site administrator may turn on are Google services (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads conversion measurement and Google AdSense), and the check on sign-in and on our forms is Google reCAPTCHA. When they are on, Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies to measure visits and to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this and other websites, and Google's own privacy policy and terms apply to what it receives. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or through the consumer choice pages of the advertising industry, and you can block these tags in your browser.

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" or similar signal. There is no common standard for what such a signal means, and the Service does not currently change its behavior when it receives one. The choices in sections 8 and 9 work whatever signal your browser sends.

You have the following controls over your data:

• Access and correction. You may view and update your account information in the Settings section of the dashboard at any time.
• Delete competitor configuration. You may remove tracked competitors from your account at any time; associated intelligence data is removed on the schedule described in Section 7.
• Workspace deletion. A workspace owner can delete the workspace and everything it holds from the organization settings. This cannot be undone.
• Account deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us through the contact form.
• Email opt-out. You may unsubscribe from promotional communications using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Transactional messages (digest delivery, billing, security) will continue.
• Messaging disconnect. You may disconnect the team messaging integration at any time from the Settings → Integrations page; this stops digest delivery to team messaging immediately.
• Connected accounts and keys. You may disconnect a search or analytics account, stop sending logs, turn off share links, and revoke API keys at any time.

Rights under the laws of your state or country. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict some uses, to opt out of any sale or sharing for advertising, and to appeal our answer to a request. Send any such request through the contact form. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it, an authorized agent may make a request for you where the law allows, and we will not treat you differently for using these rights. If we cannot meet a request, we will tell you why, and where the law gives you a right to appeal, you can ask us to look again through the same form.

When you give us personal information about other people — for example team members you invite, visitors who appear in logs or analytics data you send, or contacts at a client you serve — you are responsible for having the right to share it and for giving those people any notice the law requires. We process that information on your behalf to provide the features you use, and we may pass a request we receive from such a person to you to answer.

The Service may link to third-party websites (for example, source evidence links in your digest). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, or of any outside AI assistant or other service you connect to the Service. This policy applies only to data collected and processed by CIM.

The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those where you live.

The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us through the contact form and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date, and where required, we will notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

AideaMaker LLC does not publish a contact email address or telephone number, and does not receive, monitor, or accept postal mail or physical deliveries. All communications, including data-access or deletion requests, must be submitted through the contact form; we reply to the address you provide.
